December 18, 2009 Charlotte's Birthday GenerosityDear Cafe Femenino Foundation, We recently hosted my daughter Charlotte's 13th birthday party at the Phoenix Coffee roastery, transforming our office space into a disco hall. We had 20-30 guests... and instead of bringing presents, we asked if they could make a donation the A Coffee Child's Christmas or the Cafe Femenino Foundation.
We were so amazed to get $225 in donations for the Cafe Femenino Foundation instead a house full of new things we didn't need!
I am so excited about this solution to needless birthday presents, I thought I would pass it along. Maybe others are struggling with a similar dilemma and would also like to support the Cafe Femenino Foundation in the process. Sincerely, |
